We would like to invite you to register for our conference, Migration across the Americas I: Governance of Borders, Mobilities and People, that will take place April 16th at UCLA, 9am–4pm. Co-sponsored by the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies (JEMS), emergent and early career scholars will present their original research addressing contemporary issues of international migration throughout the American subcontinent. Ranging from examining migration governance in Peru and Chile to family reunification for refugees in Brazil to mobility regimes in Nicaragua and Honduras, this conference will be timely and enlightening for all attendees. Lunch will be provided!
