Funding for Taiwan Studies Graduate Research (2025-26)
The Asia Pacific Center offers awards to UCLA graduate students for pre-dissertation or dissertation-level research on Taiwan studies. Each applicant may apply for all awards that fit the research or collaborative project described in the application. Students from any discipline may apply, but research incorporating topics or methodologies of the humanities or social sciences is preferred. Under the "Award Applications" heading, please check off the awards for which you are applying. Each application must be accompanied by a proposal of 2-3 pages in length, an unofficial UCLA transcript, CV, budget, and one UCLA faculty letter of recommendation. If applying for Taiwan-based research, a letter of endorsement from a faculty mentor or institution in Taiwan is recommended. Please refer to the announcement for more details.
